2004 – 2010: The Trenches
Following my intern years at various companies in Budapest, I worked heavily in DTP and print design starting in 2004—primarily for Budapest’s high-end gastronomy sector (Gundel Restaurant, Spoon - The Boat, Robinson Restaurant, Arany Kaviár, Rosenstein, etc.) as well as on smaller projects for international brands like Subaru, Suzuki, and Gebr. Heinemann. After co-founding Cymetriq Studio in 2006 (focusing on logo, print, and web design), I spent years in the traditional agency world (including Carnation—now Possible Worldwide). During the wild west era of Flash banners, we pulled all-nighters for clients like AXA, Sony, Sanoma Group, Chio, and Generali.
I founded my own studio, Yellowfox, in 2008 and won awards (UX Design 2009 for AegonDirect [now Alfa], Comedy Central, and half a dozen "Site of the Day/Month" awards for Flash websites that no one can physically look at anymore—thanks, Steve). Following the infamous change of government in Hungary in 2010, the subsequent wave of insolvencies among mid-sized companies took my studio down with it, prompting me to relocate my operations to the DACH market.
2011 – 2018: The Enterprise World (Germany)
As a freelancer, I gradually built a solid client base in Germany and Switzerland until I was discovered by the HR firm ProData (emagine) in 2013 and air-dropped into the German enterprise world as an IT consultant.
- Telekom Design (Bonn): As a UI Designer in 2013, I worked on eCommerce solutions during the early days of responsive design (fullscreen landing pages, checkout flows, responsive navigation) and later worked remotely on the UI for various Telekom apps.
- Sapient-Nitro / Publicis Sapient (Cologne): As a UI Designer, I overhauled the iOS and Android apps for Lufthansa. Later, I worked as a Senior Designer on the massive 2016 rebranding of Bosch.com, taking over parts of the Webflow prototyping for our team.
- E.ON (Remote): UI/UX design exploration and Webflow prototyping for a consumer dashboard and eCommerce interface under the project name "E.ON Family" in 2017.
- Deutsche Telekom (Darmstadt): Prototyping version 1.0 of MagentaTV using Webflow in 2018, in collaboration with the agency Denkwerk.
- Fun Fact: I once successfully delivered an entire project for Telekom from a nightliner while touring Europe with my band. Once you’ve hit enterprise deadlines from a shaking tour bus, normal agency life simply doesn't stress you anymore.
2017 – 2022: The Webflow Rush
In 2017, I was handpicked by Webflow for their very first official Partner cohort. Over the following years, alongside branding, I delivered over 100 Webflow projects for clients across the DACH region, the US, Australia, New Zealand, and Switzerland. And then there was a really weird guy from Norway. He had enigmatic requests that seemed to ignore the limits of Euclidean geometry and forced me to replace a premium font with a cheap one. That is not something I take lightly.
Between 2019 and 2020, I also ran weekend Webflow workshops for agencies, mostly in Germany—until COVID showed up (presumably for the sole purpose of) putting an end to this exciting side project.
2024 – Present: End-to-End Enterprise-Grade Solutions
Following a health-related recalibration between 2022 and 2024, I radically changed my workflow. To maintain my quality standards (and in a bid to extend my lifespan), I dedicate myself entirely to a single client for the duration of the project—taking on a maximum of three projects a year.
Using my proprietary FLO framework, I develop flawless, highly scalable, and above all, future-proof digital foundations. This is for serious companies that are tired of navigating chaotic development processes with three different agencies every two years, and who refuse to be tied to expensive retainers just to edit their own website.
